Erica Funkhouser is the author of several collections of poetry, including Earthly, Pursuit, Sure Shot and Other Poems, and Natural Affinities. She was a recipient of a 2007 Guggenheim Foundation grant for poetry, and her work has appeared in the Atlantic Monthly, the New Yorker, the Paris Review, Ploughshares, and Poetry. She has also worked as a playwright. Locally, you can find one of her poems sandblasted into the wall of the Davis Square subway station in Somerville. Funkhouser teaches poetry writing at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
