Jennah Bell

Jennah Bell is an Oakland-grown singer/songwriter who pulls from a colorful palette of folk, soul, R&B, hip‐hop, and bluegrass. In 2005, while still in high school, Bell auditioned for a summer program hosted by the Grammy Foundation, where Jimmy Jam, Paul Williams, and David Foster got a taste of her unorthodox writing style. This experience was the catalyst for her studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music. In 2011, Bell released her first self-produced EP, the experimental “Early Bird,” and left Boston for New York City. In 2012, she performed at the BET Awards and released a 3-piece band session, “Live at Mother,” which was profiled on Okayplayer.com. In 2013 Bell played SXSW, The Roots Picnic, Blue Note Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and CMJ Music Festival. In December 2015, while on a European tour, Bell released her EP "Anatomy" and is currently recording her next album.
