Pagan Kennedy

Pagan Kennedy is a writer, journalist, and creator of the popular New York Times Magazine column Who Made That? She is the author of eleven books, including Black Livingstone, a New York Times notable book, and The First Man-Made Man, an acclaimed biography of transgender pioneer Michael Dillon. Her fiction and journalism has also appeared in journals and magazines including the Boston Globe, Dwell, Newsday, Salon, and The Village Voice. She is a former MIT Knight Science Journalism fellow and recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship and a Massachusetts Book Prize for nonfiction. Her most recent book, Inventology: How We Dream Up Things That Change the World, is, according to Kirkus, “a delightful account of how inventors do what they do.”
