Rebecca Podos

Rebecca Podos is a graduate of Emerson College’s MFA Writing, Literature, and Publishing program and represents young adult and middle grade fiction at Boston-based Rees Literary Agency. Her fiction has been published in Glimmer Train, Paper Darts, Bellow American Review, and Smokelong Quarterly, and she’s won prizes for her work including the Helman Award for Short Fiction and the Hillerman-McGarrity scholarship for creative writing. Her debut book for young adult readers, The Mystery of Hollow Places, received a starred review from Booklist, who described it as a novel whose “sharp plotting, unexpected twists, dynamic characters, and sensitive treatment of mental illness make Podos a writer to watch.” Her next novel, Like Water, is slated for 2017.
